I want to be able to export to Markdown and have an accompanying BibTeX file. The lack of this feature is the one thing that is preventing me from adopting this software.

For now you can do two exports, one as markdown and if you want the BibTeX file you can export it als LaTeX. You will receive a zip file containing the bibtex file

Oliver Wolf thanks, this partially addresses my issue. I would still need to go back through the document and replace every plaintext citation with a citekey.
